A Gift with a Hidden Purpose
The story begins with a seemingly harmless gift. Pandora, the first woman on Earth, was created by Hephaestus, the blacksmith god, at Zeus’s command. She was crafted with such beauty and intelligence that she appeared almost divine.
But Zeus had a plan. This gift was not one of joy but part of his larger plot to punish humanity.
His reason? Prometheus, a Titan, had stolen fire from the gods and given it to humans, giving them the power to create, to survive, and to thrive. This made Zeus furious. In his mind, humanity needed a reminder of who was in charge.
When Curiosity Wins Over Caution
To ensure this plan worked, Zeus gave Pandora a beautiful, mysterious box. But here was the twist — he told her she must never open it.
