This is Part 2 of my previous blog on 6 Laws to Lead a Productive Life.
Throughout history we humans have identified & formulated several principles and laws which can help individuals and organizations increase their productivity.
In this blog, we’ll explore more of such laws and find their effectiveness with examples from companies and famous personalities.
1. The Eisenhower Matrix
The Eisenhower Matrix helps in distinguishing between urgent and important tasks, categorizing them into four quadrants.
It helps prioritize tasks that contribute to long-term goals rather than getting caught up in urgent, but less important, activities.
The 4 Quadrants of Eisenhower Matrix include the following:
- Quadrant 1, Important and Urgent: Tasks to be done immediately and personally, e.g. crises, deadlines, problems.
- Quadrant 2, Important and Not Urgent: Tasks should be scheduled with an end date and to be done personally, e.g. relationships, planning, recreation.
- Quadrant 3: Unimportant and Urgent: Such tasks are to be delegated, e.g. interruptions, meetings, activities.
